have a lovely weekend!

It's the weekend! Yay!

Fridays are my favorite because husband gets off at noon...and then we get an extra long amount of time together on our date day. It's perfect.

This weekend will include:
  • lunch date!
  • thrifting {we have an over abundance of thrift stores around here...so hard to choose which ones to go to! i love it.}
  • working on some diy home projects {that we're both suuuuuper excited about!}
  • reading a very good book
  • babysitting our adorable niece {yays!}
  • going to church
  • naps
  • snuggling
What are your plans for the weekend? Whatever they are, I hope you have a very lovely one! :)

Here are some fun links for you that I've come across this week. Enjoy!

Create your own custom view-master slides! AHHHHHHH...I LOVE THIS! I absolutely loved my view-master as a child {hmm...wonder if it's still at my parent's house somewhere?} And the idea of making your own custom view-master slides is amazing!

How to get the perfect messy bun. Sometimes I really really love the messy just-got-out-of-bed look.

This amazing granny square blanket made by Carina. It's so beautiful I want to cry. Here's a tutorial on how to make one of these pretties.

A tutorial by Amy Cluck on how to make a retro owl sunglass case! Yet another thing to add to my "I want to make" list.

Blank CDs that look like vinyl records. Brilliant! I wish my entire CD collection were on these retro looking discs!

  2. So many great ideas! I love the view-master...it reminds me of the movie Mona Lisa Smile. This guys makes one for a girl who hasn't been to Europe yet. Such a sweet gift :)
