friday finds: letterpress kit, cupcakes, and zebra finches.

Wow, I can't believe it's Friday already! This week went by extremely fast. I hope you all had a wonderful week and have an even better weekend!

Here are some fun finds that I came across this week...

How cool would it be to have your own letterpress right in your home?! I would love love love to make my own pretty letterpress stationery using this amazing at-home letterpress kit from Lifestyle Crafts. How cool is that?!

I have a crush on baking cupcakes. I have never been a huge cake fan (except for ice cream cake!) but when I baked my first batch of cupcakes from scratch, I have never looked back. So, when I recently came across The Complete Magnolia Bakery Cookbook, I automatically put it on my wishlist!

Don't you think that these screen printed city prints are absolutely gorgeous? They're so colorful and well designed. The Heads of State is still expanding their store, so I'm crossing my fingers that they'll create one for Nashville!

I chuckled pretty hard when husband showed me this inspirational poster from Think Geek.

And last, but certainly not least...here's a video of zebra finches playing instruments.

(haha...okay, maybe you didn't find that as amusing as I did...but I used to own a few zebra finches...and I think they're so cute!)

Have you come across any fun finds this week? If so, feel free to include the link in the comments below!

Happy weekend, friends!

friday finds!

Hello friends! I hope you all are having a very happy Friday. :) This weekend I'm looking forward to doing lots of Christmassy things, such as go to the Nashville Christmas Parade with husband, wrap gifts, and maybe bake some cookies!

Here are some fun finds from around the web this week:

The very talented photographer, Max Wanger, has recently opened up a shop where you can purchase merchandise featuring some of his images. I love love love this shirt below.

These Holiday Lights Gift Tags by Kristina are so cute. You can download the free pdf to make these here.

This DIY coffee stencil is just too sweet! If Jonathan and I made lattes, I would totally want to make one of these to decorate our foam every morning. :)

As I've mentioned before, I am such a sucker for cute packaging. This season especially, there are so many pretty things that you can use to wrap up your holiday gifts. I'm loving these beautiful Holiday Gift Packaging Solutions by Nice Package.

I've always wanted to learn how to do calligraphy, and someday maybe I'll actually do it. Jordan Ferney made a great calligraphy tutorial over at Project Wedding. Now I'm tempted more than ever to go buy the supplies (which only cost $10!)

friday finds!

I love alliteration. Not entirely sure why, but it makes me smile. (Now that I think about it, it may stem from the fact that before I was married, my name was Tiffany Turpin...so I grew up as a living alliteration!) I made the decision to make tacos on Tuesday nights at our house, because I like the way "Taco Tuesdays" sounds. I have also introduced "Thankful Thursdays" to this little bloggity blog. So, to go right along with my silly obsession over words that begin with the same consonant sound...I bring you "Friday Finds!"

Recently I've been including a bunch of links to things I've found around the internet in the have a lovely weekend posts. So, it's basically the same thing...just with a different, fun, alliterated name! :)

Here are some finds for you this week:

Free vintage labels to decorate tins, or whatever else you want! This would be a great centerpiece at a wedding or event...or it would look pretty sitting on top of your desk to hold your varied writing utensils!

This cake poster by Erin Jang is just too cute. I would love to have this print framed and hung up in my kitchen. How cute would that be?!

Red Velvet Art is one of my new favorite online shops for handmade goodies! Elsie {the owner of RVA} just posted an update to her shop this week, and here are a couple of my favorite items from there this week:

Recycled Shoes -- old shoes get a whole new look with just a can of spray paint and some sequins!

An absolutely beautiful nursery tour. I'm loving the pale blue walls, and the yellow crib...and, well, everything about it. Check out armelle blog to see more photos of it! {and, to avoid any crazy suspicions...no, we're not pregnant. I just think this nursery is cute!}

Now, it's time to go enjoy this beautiful weekend! This weekend husband and I are going to Atlanta to go to a David Crowder Band concert. We're super excited!

Have a very happy weekend!

have a lovely weekend!

It's the weekend! Yay!

Fridays are my favorite because husband gets off at noon...and then we get an extra long amount of time together on our date day. It's perfect.

This weekend will include:
  • lunch date!
  • thrifting {we have an over abundance of thrift stores around here...so hard to choose which ones to go to! i love it.}
  • working on some diy home projects {that we're both suuuuuper excited about!}
  • reading a very good book
  • babysitting our adorable niece {yays!}
  • going to church
  • naps
  • snuggling
What are your plans for the weekend? Whatever they are, I hope you have a very lovely one! :)

Here are some fun links for you that I've come across this week. Enjoy!

Create your own custom view-master slides! AHHHHHHH...I LOVE THIS! I absolutely loved my view-master as a child {hmm...wonder if it's still at my parent's house somewhere?} And the idea of making your own custom view-master slides is amazing!

How to get the perfect messy bun. Sometimes I really really love the messy just-got-out-of-bed look.

This amazing granny square blanket made by Carina. It's so beautiful I want to cry. Here's a tutorial on how to make one of these pretties.

A tutorial by Amy Cluck on how to make a retro owl sunglass case! Yet another thing to add to my "I want to make" list.

have a lovely weekend.

It's Friday! Yay!

Husband and I are going to Chattanooga this weekend for a friend's wedding. Weddings are always a fun time, so we are definitely looking forward to it! We get to stay with my family in Cleveland and spend lots of time with them. And also we will get to see some of our dear friends who we miss very much.

I hope you all have a very wonderful weekend. Any exciting plans?

Here are some fun links for you to enjoy over the weekend:

  • 11 Weeks Till Christmas: Gather Your Addresses. Wow, I can't believe Christmas will be here so soon! Guess it's time to start thinking about what we're going to do for gifts and Christmas cards. If anyone wants to get some fun (non-stuffy, non-traditional) family or children portraits to include with the Christmas card or give as gifts, contact me at tiffany@zajas.com :)
  • How to make a mustache-on-a-stick! Who doesn't want to know how to make one of these?! Seriously, they look like so much fun.
  • Pumpkin Roll Recipe. This looks absolutely delicious, and so perfect for this wonderful fall season we're having! Mmmm...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I must try this one.
  • An adorable kite birthday party. This little kid's kite birthday party is so adorable! When husband and I have kids (not for a few more years, folks...simmer down), I know I am absolutely going to love planning fun birthday parties like this for them.
  • Camera lens bracelets. Now, how cool is that?
Happy Weekend!

have a lovely weekend.

{image via we heart it}

Have a lovely weekend, my dear friends! Do you have any exciting plans for the next few days? We're going to go on our date night tonight and enjoy some always welcomed time together, husband is going to mow the lawn {feel bad for him...it's more like a field than a yard}, and we're going to pack for our trip to Gatlinburg next week. We're going there for a conference for husband's work, and I'm going to be photographing the event as well--it should be a fun time!

Here are some fun links to enjoy this weekend:
  • A photo collection of IKEA shelves. Brilliant. Husband and I are major fans of IKEA, and I loved getting to see how other people incorporated IKEA shelving into their homes.
  • Adorable packaging materials. I am a sucker for paper goods and packaging of all kinds.
  • How to make your own frozen yogurt. Jonathan and my newest obsession is frozen yogurt...so, if we had an icecream machine I would totally be making this recipe today.
  • How to waste time efficiently. Seems like an oxymoron, but it doesn't have to be. I enjoyed this article on how to be productive during those "wasting time" moments.
  • Basil Tomato Soup Recipe. I made this soup for the first time this week, and Jonathan and I completely fell in love with it! Pair it with swiss & tomato grilled cheese, and you've got yourself a perfect meal. I substituted 2% milk instead of cream, and used half the suggested amount of butter...and it still turned out amazing!
  • And lastly, here's an adorable video to bring a smile to your Friday {via A Cup of Jo}:

Happy Weekend!
