Oh the things that make us laugh...

bahahahaha...I just spent 15 minutes laughing at this JibJab video I just made...

It could just be that I'm pretty tired...or it might be that it's actually very funny. I'll let you decide for yourself.

Personalize funny videos and birthday eCards at JibJab!

It's the small things in life, really. :)

In other news...yes, I'm still alive. I know I have been pretty absent from this blog. I've fallen off the bandwagon, so to speak. But I hope to not be absent for long, and I'll update when I can.

I just wanted to share this silly video with you all. You probably won't laugh quite as hard as I did...but I just couldn't resist sharing.

hahaha...

Hope you're having an amazing week!

amazing stop motion video!

Hello friends!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! My weekend was mostly spent in bed and on the couch resting and recovering from being sick. But all that downtime has paid off and I'm now feeling soooo much better! :)

Lately I have been fascinated with stop motion videos. A couple of weeks ago, I shared the stop motion Amazon Kindle commercials that I'm so in love with right now. And today I want to share this amazing post-it note stop motion video:

hehe, I love it! I think part of my fascination has to do with the fact that my dad used to make stop motion videos all the time. On many of our home videos you'll find short stop motion segments of our toys moving around and interacting with each other their own, us kids appearing and disappearing out of thin air, and even a Happy Birthday sign drawing itself. He was always so creative when it came to our home videos.

Hope you're having an amazing day!!!

have a very Christmasey weekend!

Only one week until Christmas...can you believe it?

This weekend/upcoming week is going to be amazing because...
  • My family will be here in a matter of hours, and I just can't wait to smother them with hugs. It's an adjustment going from seeing them every week to only every couple of months. I miss their faces.
  • Celebrate Christmas with the fam! (I can't wait to give them their gifts!)
  • My birthday is on Monday, and I get to spend it with my wonderful husband!
  • The beginning of Jonathan's Christmas vacation. We're gonna do lots of baking, gingerbread house decorating, staying up late, playing games, watching movies, and enjoying this time together.
  • Christmas Eve!
  • Christmas!
Yep, it's gonna be a great week! :)

I hope you'll all have a very wonderful weekend!

In the meantime...

Here's a funny video that my friend Carly shared a couple days ago. I laughed SO hard at this! :)

some random fun for your tuesday.

I hope you all are having a fabulous Tuesday! We've been busy scurrying about making preparations for having our families over for Christmas celebrations this week. Jonathan's family is coming on Thursday, and my family is coming to visit us for the weekend--yay! It's going to be super fun, and I can't wait to give people their gifts. :)

Today I have photos to edit, presents to wrap, goodies to bake, and beds to make...but before all of that, here's some random fun for your Tuesday...

Yesterday, this Techno Jeep video had me in awe and amazement:

Looking for some holiday crafts to keep your hands busy this Christmas season? Here are just a few holiday craft ideas from The Long Thread.

I laughed pretty hard when I saw this funny photo. I feel like Jonathan and I should put "ditto" on our house too...our neighbors on both sides of us have a bunch of outdoor lights up...and we have a wreath. haha. :)

Husband and I happily finished our Christmas shopping a little while ago (I think this year was a record!) But if you're a last-minute shopper, no worries...here are a few gift guides from around the web that may be helpful:
I hope you all are thoroughly enjoying this Christmas season: eating too many sweets, listening to lots of Christmas music, spending time with loved ones, and remembering what this season is all about. :)

Only 10 days until Christmas! Can you believe it? (and only 6 until my birthday.) :)

have a lovely weekend.

{image via we heart it}

Have a lovely weekend, my dear friends! Do you have any exciting plans for the next few days? We're going to go on our date night tonight and enjoy some always welcomed time together, husband is going to mow the lawn {feel bad for him...it's more like a field than a yard}, and we're going to pack for our trip to Gatlinburg next week. We're going there for a conference for husband's work, and I'm going to be photographing the event as well--it should be a fun time!

Here are some fun links to enjoy this weekend:
  • A photo collection of IKEA shelves. Brilliant. Husband and I are major fans of IKEA, and I loved getting to see how other people incorporated IKEA shelving into their homes.
  • Adorable packaging materials. I am a sucker for paper goods and packaging of all kinds.
  • How to make your own frozen yogurt. Jonathan and my newest obsession is frozen yogurt...so, if we had an icecream machine I would totally be making this recipe today.
  • How to waste time efficiently. Seems like an oxymoron, but it doesn't have to be. I enjoyed this article on how to be productive during those "wasting time" moments.
  • Basil Tomato Soup Recipe. I made this soup for the first time this week, and Jonathan and I completely fell in love with it! Pair it with swiss & tomato grilled cheese, and you've got yourself a perfect meal. I substituted 2% milk instead of cream, and used half the suggested amount of butter...and it still turned out amazing!
  • And lastly, here's an adorable video to bring a smile to your Friday {via A Cup of Jo}:

Happy Weekend!

dancin' down the aisle.

Next Tuesday {the 28th!) Jonathan and I will celebrate our two year wedding anniversary. I can't believe that it's been two years already...in many ways it seems to have flown by, but at the same time it's hard to remember the days when I didn't wake up beside my best friend every morning.

It's been the best two years of my life.

Speaking of marriage, and weddings...

My friend Carly showed me this video the other day, and I thought it was just too great...I had to show it to you!

office romance.

One of the many advantages to both Jonathan and I working from home is that we get to work in the same room...together. Even though we're busy with our daily tasks, it's nice to be able to glance across my desk and get to see my husband. We also take our lunch breaks together, which is wonderful.

We have our very own office romance.

Speaking of office romances, I saw this adorable video the other day via A Cup of Jo and I absolutely must share it with you:

harry potter.

I have been slacking in my blogging lately. Things have been crazy busy around here, but a good kind of crazy busy. So I'm sure you understand.

In the meantime, I have really been looking forward to seeing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. If the movie premiered on the weekend, we definitely would have gone to the midnight showing. BUT, we are getting kind of old to go to a midnight showing during the work week. I need my sleep.

We are thoroughly looking forward to seeing it this weekend though. I've been trying to convince Jonathan that we need to dress up as Harry and Hermoine for it, but he's not too keen on the idea. :)

In honor of the premiere, I must once again post this hilarious video. Just because it makes me laugh so very hard.

jonathan & tiffany's adventure in atlanta.

The other weekend Jonathan and I went to Atlanta on an adventure together.

Here is a little video of our adventure...
and please bear with me, this was my very first experience putting a video together. :)

In case you didn't know already, I love husband and our adventures together.
I also love videos and photographs set to music.
They make me happy.

swoops the bird.

WARNING: to my dear friend Lauren--please do not read this post, for I fear that it might give you nightmares due to your fear of birds. For your own safety and good, please do not continue reading this. And whatever you do, do not watch the video in this post. Okay, stop...now. You have been warned.

To the rest of you, I cannot help but share this hilarious information with you.

Nicole Hill {a very talented photographer and blogger} recently posted about how her husband was attacked by a bird on Front Street in San Francisco, California. This bird, who has been named "Swoops", apparently has a habit of attacking pedestrians who pass by. He is so famous, that he has a whole blog dedicated to him and his attacks.

Here is a video of a recent double attack by Swoops:

So, beware. If you ever visit San Francisco, you should probably avoid Front Street.

on being absent and a cute little video.

Well, I have unintentionally taken a short sabbatical this week from reading and writing blog posts. Oops. Ah, well...this week has been uber-busy with some new major responsibilities with work, spending lots of time with a friend who is moving away soon, and enjoying life.

I'll try to get back into the swing of blog writing sometime soon, I really will.

Until that time, here is a super-cute video that one of my favorite bloggers, Nina, created documenting her recent trip to Norway. Go visit Nina's blog...now. It's so lovely.

p.s. I absolutely love the song in the video too! I'm going to have to look up the artist and get some of his music. :)

"signs" a short film.

This short film by director Patrick Hughes is simply fabulous. You really should take some time to sit down and watch this 12 minute video on communication. {Thanks http://twitter.com/natetallman for sharing this!}
