As I mentioned in my last post, husby and I got to go on a weekend adventure to Gatlinburg, TN.
{My wonderful boss and her husband paid our way to go!}
While there, we got to stay at The Inn at Christmas Place.
I had always wanted to stay in this hotel because, my friends, it is always decorated for Christmas.
Year-round Christmas cheer for all.
There were beautiful fireplaces in the lobby and many of the rooms.
Pictured below is the Glockenspiel. It would sing and chime at certain times of the day (like a coo coo clock.) Very entertaining!
Every night Santa would hold a concert for the guests. He was actually really good!
Santa is a man of many talents. Not only can he make amazing toys and teach reindeer how to fly,
but he can also whip out a jazzy Christmas tune whenever he feels like it.
Pictured below was my favorite part of the whole weekend {and I'm not talking about the reindeer head wreath.}
The only downside to our stay at The Inn at Christmas Place was an alarmingly creepy elf that lived in a wreath by the elevator.
Here is a prime example of how this little creature made us feel:
Terrifying.
But the good thing is...we got to meet Santa!
And we discovered another one of his many talents is standing very still and not blinking.

P.S. A couple things about the Inn that are not pictured, but definitely worth a mention:
1. The continental breakfast was AMAZING. They make you fresh omlettes and there was bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, etc. YUM!
2. The mattress and pillows were heavenly.
3. There were always doormen in cool doormen outfits to open the doors for us.
4. Starbucks was right next door. This came in handy, since unfortunately the coffee was the only thing about the Inn that was not-so-great.
Well, that and the creepy wreath elf.

It sounds like you guys had a great time! I'm so glad you got to get away together and relax. After six years of marriage, I know how important that is to the health of a marriage. Good for you! Love you guys! :-)
