Nina, the author of one of my favorite blogs Naturally Nina, posted this poem yesterday and it was very inspiring to me...so, I am posting it today. {you should go check out her blog...she always has wonderful things to say.}
finish yesterday, and be done with it. you have done what you could. some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. today is a new day. begin it well, and serenely, and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. this day is all that is good and fair. it is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays. - adapted from ralph waldo emerson
Yesterday wasn't the best day ever for me, but today is a new day. And it is raining this morning which is so very comforting and seems to wash away the worries of yesterday even more.
p.s. i love my husband! and after today he will only have one final left and he will be finished with this semester. yay! :)
aww i am so glad it spoke to you, and i am glad you are feeling better. :) (p.s. go jonathan!)
ReplyDeletethe poem is wonderful but is definitely a challenge for me. it is usually very hard for me to let go of the past and live each day for what it is. thank you for the poem.
ReplyDeletei love the rain unless i know i'm going to have to get out in it. i have to go to campus today for a final and to turn in an essay which means i'm quite frustrated with the rain.
