I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It was oh-so-nice to have my family visit us for a few days last week. I had such fun cooking my very first Thanksgiving dinner and playing hostess. Jonathan and I have so much to be thankful for...and we realized that even more this past week. Ah, I just love the holidays and spending time with family. It's the way life should be.
Here are a few snapshots from our Thanksgiving:
My turkey! It actually turned out perfectly! I was so happy.
{thanks for all your prayers...haha}
I cooked my first turkey.
Jonathan carved his first turkey.
We're a team like that.
The family!
We were so happy to have Jonathan's brother, Jeremy, join us as well.
I made this double layer pumpkin pie.
It was YUM! It has an additional cream cheese layer to the normal pumpkin pie.
Apple crisp. My fave. :)
Maxo was thankful that he gets to wear his jacket again.
Look at the excitement on his face!
congrats on your turkey! I would be terrified to try roasting a turkey for the first time!!! (and for some reason I was thinking about this just the other day... haha.)
ReplyDeleteOh my God, I am really hungry by these pictures!!!!

I just found your site and was already planning on adding it to my Google Reader, and then I kept scrolling and found out you're from Portland! We live just a mile from the Head Light you have pictured on the site- how fun! You both do awesome work- I cannot wait to read more! And Max is so incredibly cute!
ReplyDeleteaw! Happy times with family & Friends... YAY!
ReplyDeletelooks like you had a fantastic and successful thanksgiving! I love your table set up too. my family's table is always just covered in plates and plates of food so there's never any room for cuteness or style :)
ReplyDeletethe pie and apple crisp look great too! I made a dutch apple pie, my first ever pie, which came out pretty tasty if I do say so myself :) even though I get a lil stressed out in the kitchen sometimes, I do love the holidays because they give me an excuse to bake new things!
btw, that photo of you and Max is simply adorable! hazel is just as "excited" about her jacket :)
Love that picture of you and your puppy. Our doggies don't like coats but we put them in them when it snows!
