DOG LOVERS: two wonderful dogs need a good home.

Attention dog lovers!

My family is having to find a new home for their two adult dogs, Gypsy and Ronin. They're having to give them away due to my littlest sister's (Moriah) allergies and because my other sister (Miranda) is moving away to a place where she can't have dogs.

These dogs are house trained, lovable, healthy, family pets.

Gypsy (pictured below left) is 4.5 years old and weighs 30 lbs. She is believed to be a Pointer/Terrier mix. She has been around horses and would make a great ranch dog.

Ronin (pictured below right) is 2.5 years old and weighs 16 lbs. He is an adorable Spaniel mix and is contender for the cutest dog ever (next to Max, of course.) :) He would be a perfect lap dog.

Both dogs are fixed and up to date on all vaccinations as of January.

These dogs are absolutely wonderful, and we will be so sad to see them go. Max will especially be sad, because they are his best canine friends. We wish we could take them, but we just can't right now. :( They really are great dogs!

If you have room in your heart and home (or someone you know does), please email me at tiffany[at]tiffanyzajas[dot]com Will go to approved home only.

Please spread the word!

be happy for this moment.

It is so hard to believe that we are at the end of March already. I feel like Christmas was just yesterday! The past couple (and the next several) weeks have been/will be extremely busy for both Jonathan and me. During these busy and sometimes stressful times, it's easy for me to just wish for vacation or a weekend away with my husband to just get here already.

But today, I saw this print from etsy and was convicted of my attitude lately:

Yikes. That is so true. What am I doing? I'm wishing away my life, that's what. And I don't want to do that at all.

I want to learn to enjoy each and every moment. Even the whirlwind like ones.

I don't want one minute of my life to pass by unnoticed and unappreciated.

save the date design.

A few months ago I was thrilled when one of my theatre professors from Lee, Catherine Bradley, called and asked if I would design the Save the Date cards for her upcoming summer wedding in Chattanooga, TN. Of course I said YES!

Catherine said that she wanted a tandem bicycle and some fun summery colors...and these are the three designs I came up with. I drew the bicycle by hand, scanned it, and then finished the design in Photoshop.

The design that they ended up going with is the last one with the white background. :)

I must say, I had a blast with this project! If you or someone you know is interested in a custom stationery design, feel free to email me at tiffany[at]tiffanyzajas[dot]com

I'm also designing Catherine's thank-you cards, and I have a wedding invitation design to share with you soon...so stay tuned! I get so excited about sharing this stuff with you guys, and would love to hear what you think.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day! :)

Love,

-Tiffany

rebecca + joey // wedding sneak peek.

Jonathan and I were thrilled to be a part of Rebecca and Joey's wedding this past weekend here in Nashville. I'm still working on editing the rest of the images, but wanted to give you a little sneak peek for now.

:)

Didn't Rebecca make such a beautiful bride?

first signs of spring.

Yesterday Max and I spent some time outside together. Max loves being outside...as long as he's not by himself. :) I loved seeing all the little first signs of spring in our yard. The growing grass and budding flowers...I couldn't help but take some pictures of it all.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week and are enjoying this spring weather we've been having. :)

a little update.

Hello friends!

It's been 10 days since I last updated, so I thought I owed you all a quick hello. Last week husband was in Florida for a leadership conference called The Forum at Southeastern University. He had the amazing opportunity to hear some wonderful speakers including Bill Hybels, Joyce Meyer, Tommy Barnett, Brian Houston, and George W. Bush. I've loved hearing all the tidbits of wisdom that he gained from this experience, and I'm planning on going through all of his notes soon! :)

While Jonathan was away, I took advantage of the opportunity to go and spend some time with my family for a few days. It was really great getting to see them, and it was nice that Max and I didn't have to spend that time all alone. I love spending time with my family. I also got to see some of my dear friends while I was visiting...it was great.

Since we returned home this weekend I've been battling with some sickness (as I've mentioned on twitter.) It hasn't been fun, but I've really enjoyed having my husband back! I missed him lots, and he's been taking great care of me while I've been under the weather. I'm hoping and praying that he doesn't catch what I have!

Whenever I'm sick at this time of year, I love thinking of spring and how sunshiney warm weather is just around the corner! A couple of weeks ago, Jonathan brought home some yellow tulips for me "just because"...and I snapped some photos of them so I wouldn't forget. I'm so glad I did, because looking at them now makes me feel a little better already. :)

Other things that brighten up my day when I'm not feeling well are:
  • green nail polish :)
  • orange juice
  • soup
  • hot chocolate and hot tea
  • warm blankets
  • The Office reruns
  • snuggling with my puppy
What makes you smile when you're not feeling well?

I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your week!

She loved it, to say the least! :)

happy 1st birthday to our niece, kate!

One year ago today Jonathan's sister Julie and her husband Kenny had their first baby...Kate! It's so hard to believe that she is one year old now. This year has gone by so quickly and she has grown so fast (here she is at newborn, 3 months, 8 months.)

Tonight we're having a little family party to celebrate her first year.

Happy 1st Birthday, Kate!
We love you so much and are so glad you were born. :)

favorite things: for right now

I haven't been the best at updating the blog lately. I'm trying to find a good balance for this thing...something I'm still trying to figure out. I appreciate you guys sticking with me through it though. :) I love all of your comments and messages and getting to share bits of our life with you!

I think it's about time for another favorite things post! Here are some of my favorite things for right now:

1. Southern Savers - I absolutely LOVE this blog! It has saved me so much money, it's crazy. Each week they post the best deals for all the southern grocery stores: Publix, Kroger, Food Lion, Bi-Lo, Target, CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, etc. And it also lists which coupons you need to use to make it an even better deal! Such a time and money saver. Love it so much!

2. Castle - Jonathan and I made the mistake of watching this one night when one of our favorite shows was a re-run. Now we're hooked. But thankfully it's not a LOST kind of hooked...haha, don't think I could handle another one of those. Castle is murder mystery show that has a good dose of comedy mixed in. It reminds me of Murder She Wrote and Diagnosis Murder, which were some of my favorites growing up. Captain Hammer from Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog is the lead character...you can't beat that.

3. The Book Depository - Husband discovered this amazing online bookstore. You can get pretty much any book for cheaper than Amazon price...with FREE SHIPPING! We haven't ordered anything from it yet, but next time we buy a book...you betcha we're gonna get it from here!

4. The Power of a Praying Wife - This book is another one of those life changing books for me. It's really helped me focus less on myself during my prayer time. As wives, praying for our husbands should be a given, but this book helped me move from saying a quick prayer to spending some heartfelt time seriously praying for my man. If you're married or getting married, I highly recommend this book. Read it and let me know how your life has changed. :)

5. 30 Day Shred - Today was my 4th day doing this workout...and boy, is it a WORKOUT. After Day 1 I had to take a couple days off because my muscles were so extremely sore I could barely move, haha. This week it's gotten easier each time and I already feel stronger and healthier and I'm starting to see the results I'm wanting. I didn't know you could get that good of a workout from an exercise video...and for only 20 minutes a day! Yep, it's a favorite.

How about you? What are some of your favorite things for right now?
