the pierce family.

Last weekend I had the joy of going to the Pierce's home to take their family portraits. We had a really great time with them. I absolutely love when people choose to have their session at a place that is special and personal to them.

Being a complete dog lover myself, I was thrilled when Carlena said she wanted to include their puppies in one of the shots. Junior and JoJo were very cooperative and looked straight at the camera for me. I was very impressed! :)

I really love photographs of people laughing...especially when it's a family laughing together. It makes me smile. :) You can really see the joy that this family shares together.

While there, I just had to get some shots of the puppies. They made such great models and were very cooperative (it probably helped that Jonathan was holding a dog treat over my head...)

I think JoJo pulls off this look quite nicely.

When we were heading home from the session, I just couldn't stop smiling. I was completely overwhelmed with joy at the fact that I get to do this as my job (although it doesn't feel like work at all.) I have the opportunity to meet and get to know wonderful people, and to photograph their love for each other. To me, that is priceless.
