the tooth fairy kit.

I recently came across this adorable tooth fairy kit via papercrave. It is just adorable. It comes complete with an official Certificate of Record to keep track of your tooth transitions with your local fair, and a reusable silkscreened cloth deposit bag for all teeth to be placed in.

a photoshoot: stephanie, the greek beauty.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to go out and photograph my greek friend, Stephanie {she's from Cyprus!} Stephanie and I were in the play "Enchanted April" during my Junior year at Lee University. That was the play that Jonathan and I were in together as well, and he proposed to me on the set of the play...definitely a play close to my heart.

Steph and I had fun exploring different areas of Cleveland that were fun photo op spots. She is such a beautiful girl and was very natural in front of the camera.

Thanks for a fun photo shoot, Steph!

Here are some of my favorite images from the shoot:

i want to go to there.

i want to go to there.

i would love to just go to someplace tropical
turn off the cell phones, and leave them off
not even look at a computer
walk on the beach with my love
stick my toes in the sand

and escape.

{photos taken last summer on vacation in florida}

I'm feeling very overwhelmed lately {and so is huband.} We are both thoroughly looking forward to August...when he has graduated, and we get a vacation! In the meantime, I'm trying to enjoy the here and now, have a good attitude and positive outlook, and resist stress if at all possible {although that is super hard for me...Jesus is helping me with that.}

These scriptures have always been encouraging to me in times like this:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." - Isaiah 40:29-31

What brings you encouragement when you're weary?

jonathan & tiffany's adventure in atlanta.

The other weekend Jonathan and I went to Atlanta on an adventure together.

Here is a little video of our adventure...
and please bear with me, this was my very first experience putting a video together. :)

railroads, wheat fields, and cowboy boots: a photo session.

Earlier this week I had the joy of getting to photograph my friend Anna. We went to a bunch of different places around our sweet little town {including the railroad and a beautiful wheat field.} She is a natural beauty and oh-so-fun to work with! Plus, she has some killer cowboy boots.

Here are some of my favorite images from the session:

swoops the bird.

WARNING: to my dear friend Lauren--please do not read this post, for I fear that it might give you nightmares due to your fear of birds. For your own safety and good, please do not continue reading this. And whatever you do, do not watch the video in this post. Okay, stop...now. You have been warned.

To the rest of you, I cannot help but share this hilarious information with you.

Nicole Hill {a very talented photographer and blogger} recently posted about how her husband was attacked by a bird on Front Street in San Francisco, California. This bird, who has been named "Swoops", apparently has a habit of attacking pedestrians who pass by. He is so famous, that he has a whole blog dedicated to him and his attacks.

Here is a video of a recent double attack by Swoops:

So, beware. If you ever visit San Francisco, you should probably avoid Front Street.

we went to Atlanta, and it was fun.

I apologize for being MIA from the bloggy world this week. When I take a break from the computer {as I did last weekend for our trip to Atlanta}, I have a hard time getting back into the swing of things. Sometimes it's nice to have a little break from technology.

But, as promised, I will try to update you all on our wonderful getaway.

To start things off, here is a haiku {inspired by Nina} about our weekend and a picture of husband and me cheesin' it up with Bugs Bunny at Six Flags.

went to Atlanta
rode lots of roller coasters
had fun together

I hope you all are having very lovely weeks! This week has flown by oh-so-fast. I can't believe tomorrow is Friday already.

have a lovely weekend.

{image via fffound}

I hope you all will have a very lovely weekend, my friends. Husband and I are getting away together for a few days. I am very much looking forward to this much needed break from busy schedules just to concentrate on each other. I am also looking forward to riding roller coasters...exploring the city...trying new restaurants...holding hands...and taking lots of photographs {which I will share with you all upon our return.}

In the meantime, here are some fun links I came across this week:

A super-cute homemade prize-ribbon.

Notebooks that look like sliced bread.

An adorable video that involves a balloon {mmmm...I love balloons.}

5 creative photo resources.

A very lovely diy wedding {where the groom made the dress!}

Have a very lovely weekend, friends! See you on Monday!

my pretty sister miranda.

My wonderful sister {who I miss oh-so-very much} came and visited us from Indiana a few weeks ago. During her visit, I had the chance to take some photographs of her and her puppy Gypsy.

Gypsy is not the easiest dog to take photos of. She doesn't love the camera quite as much as Max does. But she actually did pretty great during this shoot! Although I did have to tempt her with a bone most of the time, and she got slightly annoyed at one point.

Here are some of my favorites:

haha, I just had to include this one!

This is the point in the shoot that Gypsy was getting
annoyed that I kept teasing her with the bone.

Ah, finally...she got the bone she so greatly deserved.
