finish yesterday, and be done with it.

Nina, the author of one of my favorite blogs Naturally Nina, posted this poem yesterday and it was very inspiring to, I am posting it today. {you should go check out her blog...she always has wonderful things to say.}

finish yesterday, and be done with it. you have done what you could. some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. today is a new day. begin it well, and serenely, and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. this day is all that is good and fair. it is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays. - adapted from ralph waldo emerson

Yesterday wasn't the best day ever for me, but today is a new day. And it is raining this morning which is so very comforting and seems to wash away the worries of yesterday even more.

p.s. i love my husband! and after today he will only have one final left and he will be finished with this semester. yay! :)

  1. aww i am so glad it spoke to you, and i am glad you are feeling better. :) (p.s. go jonathan!)

  2. the poem is wonderful but is definitely a challenge for me. it is usually very hard for me to let go of the past and live each day for what it is. thank you for the poem.
    i love the rain unless i know i'm going to have to get out in it. i have to go to campus today for a final and to turn in an essay which means i'm quite frustrated with the rain.
